On applications where conventional plate heat exchangers reach their limits, FREE FLOW plate heat exchangers can be used. The special features of FREE FLOW plate heat exchangers are the wide gaps between the plates.
The gap between the plates is up to 12 mm
Within the FREE FLOW range there are several plate types without metallic contact points.
FREE FLOW plate heat exchangers provide trouble-free heat transfer solutions for the following duties:



  • products containing solids
  • products containing crystals
  • products containing pulp
  • viscous product
 
 
Because of the special shape of the FREE FLOW channels these plates allow difficult products to be processed easily. FREE FLOW plate heat exchangers can be cleaned easily by Cleaning in Place (CIP) or the Backflushing system without opening it.
 
GEA Ecoflex FREE FLOW plate heat exchangers are far superior to shell and tube or spiral heat exchangers, both in terms of thermal efficiency and investment.
